YooshiQ's Note
Hailing from the United States, artist and illustrator Kit Mizeres is without a permanent residence. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Columbus College of Art and Design. Since her graduation, Mizeres has made a significant impact on the New Contemporary Art scene, showcasing her talent in well-known galleries, including Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles and Arch Enemy Arts in Philadelphia.
Although Kit Mizeres is a recent art school graduate, one's perception may be deceived into assuming she has a lifetime of artistic experience, given the remarkable power, refinement, and maturity evident in her work. Embracing a lifestyle of wandering freedom, Mizeres remains in constant motion, amassing an array of stories and experiences that shape her life decisions and artistic pursuits. With a lifelong affinity for nature and an innate curiosity coupled with compassion, it is unsurprising that her artwork conveys concerns about human dominance over the animal realm. Mizeres masterfully weaves these themes into her captivating surrealist style, also exploring personal mythology and her inner conflicts. The outcome is not just a visual delight but also a rich source of metaphorical engagement and thought-provoking questions about humanity that deserve attention.
